Scott’s Team at The South Pole

On reaching the South Pole, Robert Falcon Scott and his team are distraught to find that Amundsen and his party had beaten them to the prize, and had arrived and left, over a month before them. Here the group pose for a photograph, triggering the    camera with a piece of string. All five men would tragically perish on the return journey.
